Judgment by Fire

Matt Riordan’s friend, Hugh Prokop, is a nice guy, who has run into bad luck. Prokop’s Seattle marine business has hit a rough patch and now his warehouse has burned down. Inside, the fire department finds a safe filled with a quarter of a million dollars and the crispy corpse of Prokop’s accountant. Riordan takes on the job of defending his friend on the arson charge.
