Sometimes leaving the present is the only way to escape the past.
After surviving two horrific massacres by the Woodsview Harvester, Avery Blair takes a page out of his book and disappears in the dead of night. She knows he’ll never stop hunting her, so she leaves her surviving family and friends behind, hoping to lure the Harvester away from them. Living in hiding is bearable when it’s for the good of people she loves and just maybe, one day her nightmare will fade to a bad memory.
Taking on a new identity in Los Angeles, California, Avery keeps busy as she prepares for death to come for her. A new job, self defense classes, and a gig playing in a bar band ensure that she’s constantly in motion, never sitting still long enough for the dread to set in. But she never stops looking over her shoulder, because she knows death never gives up the hunt.
The Harvester has been busy as well. Determined to finish what he started, he’s been setting pieces in motion, and he’s had time to plan the perfect hunt. If all goes accordingly, he’ll have his revenge on the town Woodsview, and the woman who stopped him twice before.
The last act of their story will be written in blood. Lots and lots of blood. But will it be Avery or The Harvester who writes the final chapter?
