This book is aimed principally at people who enjoy trivia and like being challenged by it; for example, folks who enjoy TV shows like "Jeopardy." The trivia is especially oriented to the "Pop Culture" that Baby Boomers experienced. A wide range of topics are covered and they include literature, television, radio, movies, plays, music, commercials, jingles, people and celebrities, and food. For each trivia Question a Hint is available and of course, all Answers are provided. For easy reference, The Hints and Answers immediately follow at the end of a Questions section, they are not all "lumped" in the back of the book. But all Questions, Hints, and Answers appear on separate pages so you don't have to worry about inadvertently seeing a Hint or an Answer before you've been able to fully consider the Question!
The last chapter presents "Combinations and Concatenations." Questions here can be especially challenging as two (or more) trivia responses need to be "linked" together to form a complete answer. Ex: A famous movie actor from the 1930s through the 1950s who (allegedly) made famous the line, "You dirty rat..." AND a TV cop-show in the 1980s where the lead cops were both women (a rarity at the time). ... ANSWER: James Cagney ... AND ... Cagney & Lacey
Many of the trivia questions in this book do go back to the 1950s and 1960s. As such, the material can have a particular appeal to Baby Boomers (as suggested by the book title). But it is not limited to that age group; a younger person might find it interesting to learn about the "prehistoric times" of their parents and grandparents in the Mid-20th Century!
